2013 ISSF CHAMPIONSHIP ORGANIZERS WORKSHOP SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED IN MUNICH

ISSF Championship Organizers met in Munich, Germany, on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of November.
The 2013 ISSF Championship Organizers Workshop was successfully conducted at the Hilton Hotel Am Tucherpark in Munich on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of November.
The Organizers of next years' championship met ISSF officials and experts in different functional areas, the official results providers, and the organizers of the past championship editions, to share best practices.
The ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña and the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber welcomed the Workshop participants, speaking about the highlights of the 2013 Shooting Sport season which was concluded by the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Final in Munich, the last 12 of November.
“A new successful chapter of the centenary history of the Shooting Sport has been opened this year, with the introduction of the new ISSF Rules including new final formats.” Mr Schreiber said.
“Organizers of ISSF Championship meet here once a year to share experiences and best practices, to report on past events and to work on future competitions.”
“We are looking forward to a successful workshop meeting, as we welcome here in Munich the Organizers of our future Championship, the members of the ISSF Executive Committee, of the ISSF Administrative Council and of the Section Committees.”
“All four ISSF Vice-Presidents are here, remarking once again the status of these meetings.” Mr Schreiber concluded.
The ISSF Vice-President Gary Anderson opened the meetings, remarking the keywords of this year's Workshop in front of over 90 participants.
“Teamwork. Great Championship. Great Media Impact. Sport Presentation improvements. These are the goals we all want to reach.” Mr Anderson said.
“The ISSF Workshop is a unique chance to meet and speak about our events.”
“Our aim is to learn from the past Championship, and improve for the future. This year's Workshop has been a successful example of teamwork.”

 ISSF MEETINGS IN MUNICH: NEW RULES, CHAMPIONSHIPS AND QUOTA PLACES UNDER DISCUSSION
The ISSF Executive Committee, the ISSF Administrative Council and the ISSF Section Committees met in Munich, Germany, between the 20 and the 25 of November 2013.

The IOC President Thomas Bach visited the ISSF Executive Committee and Administrative Council Members aside of the Meetings, on the 23rd of November, welcomed by the ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña and by the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber.

New ISSF Rules, the Rio 2016 Quota Places distribution path, the 2014 and 2015 Championship locations and dates were among the main topics under discussion during the Meetings.

New ISSF Rules
The new ISSF Rules including new finals formats will undergo some fine-tunings, and the current rules will be edited accordingly. Details on the changes will be published soon and announced on the ISSF website at www.issf-sports.org

ISSF 2014 and 2015 Championship locations and updates
The locations of the 2014 ISSF World Cup Stages have been updated: the ISSF World Cup Stage in Shotgun events planned to be held in Rio de Janeiro has been re-assigned to Beijing, after the withdrawal of Rio's Organizing Committee. The 2014 ISSF World Cup Stage in Beijing will be combined in Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun events, and it will be held at the 2008 Olympic Shooting Range from the 1st through the 10th of July.

The 2014 ISSF World Cup Final in Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun events will be held in Gabala, Azerbaijan, from the 21stthrough the 28th of October 2014.

A new ISSF Championship, the ISSF Juniors Cup, has been announced and will be organized for the first time in Suhl, Germany, from the 25th of May through the 1st of June 2014. The Championship will include competitions in the 15 Rifle and Pistol Olympic Shooting events. Details on the championship will be published soon on the ISSF website.
The locations of the 2015 ISSF World Cup Stages have been unveiled, and are reported in a separate news published on www.issf-sports.org. The 2015 ISSF Shotgun World Championship will be held in Lonato, Italy, dates to be defined.

Rio 2016 Quota Rules
As for the 2008 and the 2012 Olympic Games, a total number of 390 Quotas in 15 Shooting events will be distributed for Rio 2016. Several proposals concerning the Quota Places distribution path have been presented at the ISSF meetings. The proposals are under discussion and the qualification path will be defined and made public by February 2014.

ISSF TV and Media Coverage

The ISSF Executive Committee and Administrative Council were reported on the 2013 ISSF TV Distribution and media coverage. Following a trend started in 2010, the 2013 TV distribution has been positive and footage of ISSF Championship was made available to an estimated audience of about 300 million viewers. ISSF Social Media and Press activities also recorded a positive trend.

CAMPEONATO BRASILEIRO DE CARABINA E PISTOLA - 2013



Rio de Janeiro 22 a 24 de novembro de 2013

Entre os dias 22 e 24 de novembro tivemos a edição final do Campeonato Brasileiro de Tiro Esportivo de Carabina e Pistola nas categorias Sênior (individual e por equipe), Master, Veterano, Juniores e Para Atletas.

A Participação foi bastante expressiva com a presença dos atletas das Federações brasileira. Só lamentamos que num evento importante como esse não tenha sido aplicado integralmente o protocolo das competições da ISSF, onde as Finais dos eventos Olímpicos tem um papel preponderante na classificação final dos atletas. Perdeu se uma grande oportunidade de treinamento para os nossos atletas de conhecerem e se familiarizarem com essa nova sistemática de competição.
 
Os atletas além de atuarem pelas suas Federações estão adquirindo experiência para  representarem o Brasil em competições Internacionais, nas Copas Mundiais, nos Campeonatos Continentais em 2014 e 2015 e com isso se preparando para, quem sabe, vestirem as cores do Brasil nos Jogos Olímpicos de 2016. Além do preparo dos atletas, teria sido uma grande oportunidade no treinamento do pessoal do estande, dentre eles os Oficiais de Linha (RO), Oficiais Chefes dos Estandes (CRO), Membros dos Juris e principalmente do Oficial Chefe das Finais (CRF), um posto altamente especializado para o sucesso de uma competição.
Apresentaremos os resultados individuais dos atletas Seniors classificado até o 8º lugar (6º no caso de tiro rápido), que seriam aqueles qualificados para disputarem as Finais das provas Olímpicas. Em seguida colocaremos também os resultados das competições não Olímpicas, porém não menos importantes, uma vez que fazem parte do Campeonato Mundial de Tiro Esportivo. Será observando o mesmo critério de limitar a relação dos atletas até o 8º posto por uma questão limitação de espaço nesse Blog.
