European Championship 25, 50, 300m, Shotgun, RT, Europe YOG Qualification · Baku, AZE
Germany, Russian Federation and Serbia claimed two quotas each, while Belarus, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Hungary and Italy took one. Twelve more slots will be delivered at the 2018 10m European Championship in Gyor (HUN).
Twelve Youth Olympic Games quota places have been delivered at the ongoing European Championship in Baku (AZE).
The slots are part of an 80-quota package that will be gradually assigned through a series of continental and international competitions: four of them have already been distributed at the African Championship held in Cairo (EGY) last April and May.
Out of a total of 80 YOG quotas, 14 will be assigned at this year’s Asian Championship in Wako City (JPN); four more at the Oceania Championship taking place in Gold Coast (AUS) next October and November; and 12 at the 2018 European Championship in Gyor (HUN). Twenty-four of them will be delivered by the International Olympic Committee, while the last two belong to the host country Argentina.
Eight quota places to participate at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games will also be up for grabs at next year’s third ISSF World Cup stage, taking place in Fort Benning (USA) from May 7th to May 15th.
The four events held in Baku were contested only to grant the slots, with no European Championship medal at stake. Ninety-seven athletes participated, representing 25 National Olympic Committees.
