Over 1000 athletes coming from 78 countries, for a total number of 1500 starts, are participating in the event.

“Granada will be the location of next year's ISSF World Championship in all events. We are here to test the venues, and we are sure that we will have a great competition at the same time. Granada is a beautiful city, and a great location for our events.” The ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber said during today's Technical Meeting.

“This is going to be the largest world cup of the year.” The ISSF Vice President Gary Anderson said at the meeting. “With over 1000 athletes participating in the event, this world cup is also an important test competition for the 2014 ISSF World Championship.”

Mr Schreiber said: “Our friend from the Real Federacion de Tiro Olimpico, under the leadership of Mr. Rodrigo de Mesa Ruiz, are doing their best to provide excellent conditions for our athletes. The shooting family is also looking at Granada as the venue of the 52nd ISSF World Shooting Championship, which will be held here next year. We will learn from this experience to prepare a great event in 2014. I would like to take this occasion to thank the organizers for their work and support, as well as the cities of Granada and Las Gabias for their contributions. We are looking forward to an exciting competition, and we wish all participants good luck and great results!”
