Bologna is ready to host the first ISSF World Cup Final of the season

The Bologna Shooting Range will welcome the first of the two yearly World Cup Finals, where the best 99 athletes of the season will battle for the 10 Rifle and Pistol seasonal globes.
The ISSF World Cup Final in Rifle/Pistol events, the first of the two competitions that will seal the 2016 Shooting sport season, will take place in Bologna (ITA), from the 4th to the 10th of October.

A total of 99 athletes from 34 countries is expected to participate, piling up 113 starts. The competition will deliver the 10 seasonal titles of the Rifle and Pistol disciplines, starting on October 6th.

Here is the schedule of the ten finals:

50m Pistol Men at 12:30 PM (UTC+2)
50m Rifle Prone Men at 1:45 PM

October 7th
25m Pistol Women at 3:30 PM
25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men at 4:45 PM

October 8th
10m Air Rifle Women at 1:30 PM
10m Air Rifle Men at 2:45 PM
10m Air Pistol Women at 4:00 PM
10m Air Pistol Men at 5:15 PM

October 9th
50m Rifle 3 Positions Women at 2:30 PM
50m Rifle 3 Positions Men at 4:00 PM

The best athletes of the 2016 ISSF World Cup Series, who earned points along the four stages held in Bangkok (THA), Rio de Janeiro (BRA), Munich (GER) and Baku (AZE), qualified for the World Cup Final along with the Rio 2016 Olympic Games medallists and the 2015 ISSF World Cup Final title holders.

Among the many Rio 2016 Olympic Games medallists that will participate, Greece’s Anna Korakaki, Olympic Champion in the women’s 25m Pistol event and Bronze medallist in the 10m Air Pistol, and Germany’s Christian Reitz, Olympic Gold medallist in the men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event.

The ten final matches of the ISSF World Cup Final in Rifle/Pistol events will be live streamed on the ISSF’s website and on the Federation’s Livestream channel.

The second ISSF World Cup Final, the last competition of the 2016 season, will take place in Rome (ITA) from October 10th to October 16th.
