Three Buenos Aires 2018 quota places for Oceania delivered in Gold Coast

The slots were awarded to three Australian shooters. No quota was delivered in the men’s 10m Air Pistol event, as none of the participants finished above the MQS of 540 points.
The 2017 Commonwealth Shooting Federation and Oceania Shooting Federation Championship took place in Gold Coast (AUS) from October 28th to November 8th.

During the competition, 18 shooters aged 17-or-below battled for the four Youth Olympic Games quota places up for grabs, representing two countries: Australia and New Zealand.

According to the rules, only three of the slots at stake were awarded, as none of the 10m Air Pistol Men participants finished above the MQS of 540 points.

The winners of the quota places are:

  • Alex Chresten Hoberg of Australia in the men’s 10m Air Rifle event;
  • Victoria Michelle Venning Rossiter of Australia in the women’s 10m Air Rifle event;
  • Olivia Kate Erickson of Australia in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event.

The CSF and OCF Championship is the third competition that delivers YOG quota places after the 2017 African Championship in Cairo (EGY) and the 2017 European Championship in Baku (AZE).

The Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games will take place in Buenos Aires from October 6th to October 18th.
