Olena Kostevych, a linda Rainha do Tiro Esportivo Mundial

Olena Kostevych, a melhor atiradora do mundo segundo o Ranking da ISSF.
Primeira em Pistola de Ar 10m. e terceira em Pistola 25m para mulheres, além de
 ter conquistado duas medalhas de bronze da Olimpiada de Londres.

tornou muito amiga. Fernanda foi a  responsável pela  vinda da Olena ao Brasil.

Porque Olena Kostevych é a maior atleta do tiro esportivo, e uma das melhores atletas do mundo.

A primeira vez em que observei Kostevych atirando foi através do vídeo da final das Olimpíadas de Atenas, que aconteceu em 2004. Ela estava em oitavo lugar, e, a cada tiro, foi conquistando mais posições, até que definiu, através de um shoot-off contraJasna Šekarić, seu título de campeã olímpica, aos 19 anos de idade. Em 2002, em Lahti, Finlandia, com 17 anos, no Campeonato Mundial ela recebeu sua primeira medalha de ouro em Pistola de Ar 10m

Após um breve recesso, Kostevych voltou a atirar em grande estilo, tendo sido considerada a atiradora do ano em 2011. Em 2012, ela através de sucessivas competições e vitórias, passou também a praticar a disciplina de 25 metros, pistola sport (sua especialidade é Pistola de Ar a 10 metros.). Em Milão, logo após trocar de equipamento (pasou a utilizar uma Pardini para a pistola sport), ganhou 2 ouros. Daí em diante, consecutivas vitórias, 2 bronzes em Londres. Na final da temporada de 2012, em Bangkok, onde só participa a elite de tiro, sagrou-se campeã mundial em Pistola de Ar.

Convidei Kostevych para que viesse ao Brasil participar da Final do Campeonato Brasileiro como convidada hors-concours. Generosamente, aceitou. Chegou na sexta feira, dia 23, após 15 horas de vôo, e, 5 horas depois, estávamos no CNTE para que ela ajustasse a pistola que providenciei para ela e então ficasse adequada ‘as suas necessidades. Demonstrando um enorme conhecimento sobre todo o mecanismo da pistola, em pouco tempo colocou seu grip, ajustou tudo. No dia seguinte fez 390 pontos, atirando como se fossem as novas regras da ISSF, que reduziu em ⅓ o tempo de duração da prova. Em nada isso afetou sua performance. Extremamente profissional, os brasileiros puderam testemunhar, de perto, o símbolo da competência no tiro esportivo.

‘A parte seu desempenho, vem a personalidade de Kostevych. É uma pessoa que não faz absolutamente nenhum alarde sobre sua posição de melhor do mundo. Ela não tem a menor dúvida que é a melhor, mas ao invés de demonstrar qualquer sinal de arrogância, gosta de conhecer as pessoas, trata todos de igual para igual, tem interesses simples, jamais reclama de absolutamente nada, sempre faz questão de deixar todos que estiverem ‘a sua volta bem confortáveis.

Esta é a diferença entre os medíocres e os gênios. Medíocres podem ter um momento de glória, e alardear para o mundo seus feitos. Kostevych, na condição de gênio, procura dividir com as pessoas apenas a alegria de poder viajar pelo mundo atirando, dedica-se integralmente ‘a atividade, quando viaja, não hesita em mostrar fotos dos lugares que conhece, sempre de uma forma absolutamente singela e delicada. Como se ela desejasse que várias outras pessoas pudessem ter as mesmas oportunidades.

Muito elegante, conversa sempre com um tom de voz doce, tem uma certa timidez injustificável, talvez por algum desconforto em saber que é a melhor, e não querer que as outras pessoas se sintam intimidadas por sua presença.

É aberta a novas experiências, interessa-se em conhecer a diversidade cultural que existe entre as diversas partes do mundo, e procura transmitir isso para seus interlocutores.

Aqui no Brasil, teve a bondade de dar uma entrevista para o documentário que está sendo feito sobre o tiro esportivo. Após a primeira tomada, houve um problema técnico. Ela não hesitou em se dispor a fazer tudo de novo. Sempre com um sorriso no rosto. Sempre demonstrando alegria por estar ali, com a gente.

Portanto, todo seu sucesso, toda sua beleza, suas consecutivas vitórias, são mais do que merecidas. E ela é a única pessoa responsável por todas essas coisas boas que acontecem em sua vida.

Que sirva de exemplo aos nossos atletas. Ela tem muito para ensinar.

Why is Olena Kostevych the greatest athlete of the shooting, and one of the world's best athletes?

The first time I saw Kostevych was through a shooting video of the Final during the Olympics in Athens, which happened in 2004. She started in eighth place and after every shot she started gaining positions until the end and finished tied with Jasna Šekarić, the greatest female shooter at that time. Through a shoot-off against Jasna Šekarić, she won her first title of Olympic Champion at 19 years old. In 2002, in Lhati, during the WCH, with 17 years, Olena won her first important gold medal in 10m Air Pistol.

After a brief recess, Kostevych returned to shoot in a big style, and was considered the shooter of the year in 2011. In 2012, through successive competitions and victories, she also began to practice the discipline of 25 meters Sport Pistol (her specialty has always been Air Pistol 10 meters.). In Milan WC 2012, after exchanging equipment (started to use Pardini for Sport Pistol), she won 2 gold medals. Thereafter, 2 bronze medals in London Olympic Games . I invited Kostevych to come to Brazil to participate in the Brazilian Championship Final as a guest hors-concours. Generously she accepted. Olena Arrived on Friday, April 23, after 15 hours of flying, and five hours later we were in CNTE Shooting Range, so she arranged to adjust the gun, I borrow to her, and to become right to her needs. Showing a great knowledge about the whole mechanism of the gun, she adjusted the grip and all perfectly set for her. In the next day she shot 390 points, made by shooting as if the ISSF new rules, which reduced 1/3 of the shooting time. In no way did it affect her performance. Extremely professional, Brazilians fans could witness, up close, the symbol of competence in Shooting Sport.

Apart of her performance, comes Kostevych’s personality. She s a person who does absolutely no fanfare about her best position in the world. She has no doubt who is the best, but instead of showing any sign of arrogance, enjoy meeting people, treats everyone as equals, have simple interests, never complains about absolutely nothing, always makes sure to let everyone to feel very comfortable around her.

This is the difference between the mediocre and the genius. Mediocre can have a moment of glory and flaunt their achievements to the world. Kostevych, even being a genius athlete, she is always looking only to share with people the joy of being able to travel the world shooting, dedicated entirely to the activity when traveling, do not hesitate to show photos of places she knows, always being absolutely simple and delicate. As she wished that many other people could have the same opportunities.

Very elegant, always speaking with a sweet voice has certain shyness, maybe some discomfort in knowing that she is the best, but she doesn’t want to other people feel intimidated by her presence.

She is open to new experiences and is interested in knowing the cultural diversity that exists among the various parts of the world, and try to transmit this to the conversant

Here in Brazil, she was kind enough to give an interview for the documentary being made about the shooting sports. After the first shot, there was a technical problem. She did not hesitate to be willing to do it all again. She was always with a smile on her face and demonstrating joy to be there with us.

So all her success, her beauty and her consecutive victories is very well deserved. And she is the only person responsible for all these good things that happen in her life.

For us, she is serving as an example to our athletes. She has a lot to teach.
