The Countdown Clock is ticking away for the Opening Ceremony of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games. Shooting among the 28 sports contested, with a 6-event program.
August 16, 2013, was The One Year to Go Day until the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games, to be held in Nanjing, China, from 16 to 28 August 2014.
Nanjing 2014 celebrated the anniversary with an event in Xinjiekou Square, Nanjing, where they unveiled a special Countdown Clock - right when the days shifted from 366 to 365.

Shooting will be one of the 28 Olympic sports featured in the second edition of the Youth Olympic Games, which will engage over 3,600 athletes. The Shooting program in Nanjing will include 6 events, four individual (10m Air Rifle and 10m Air Pistol, both for Men and Women) and two team events (10m Air Rifle Mixed Teams and 10m Air Pistol Mixed Teams), for a total of 80 participation quotas (find out how the teams will be composed and how the qualification path works).
The mascot of the event will be NANJINGLELE, whose shape was inspired by a Nanjing-typical pebble known as the "riverstone". It represents the natural beauty and communicates the value of approaching and enjoying nature (see what it looks like here).
