On behalf of the International Shooting Sport Federation we offer a
friendly welcome to all participants of the 51st ISSF World Championship in all
events in Granada, Spain from 6 to 20 September 2014.
This 51st World Championship in the shooting sport is the first opportunity to gain quota places for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016 and we expect a high participation from athletes from all around the world. For the first time in the history of the ISSF Finals in the junior category will be organized and we are confident that these Finals for juniors will be another step to increase the popularity of the shooting sport.

Espanola de Tiro Olimpico under the leadership of President Rodrigo de Mesa
Ruiz and the Organizing Committee do their outmost to prepare this 51st World
Championship in the best possible way. The ISSF is sure that all athletes,
coaches, judges, referees, officials, media representatives and spectators will
find excellent conditions. We are pleased to be guests on the beautiful
shooting venue, the Specialized High Performance Center of Olympic Shooting
“Juan Carlos I” in Las Gabias/Granada in the very nice region of Andalucia,
Spain. This venue which the shooting world already knows from the organization
of several competitions such as a World Cup, World Cup Final or Continental
Championship had been prepared to be a great shooting range to host this 51st
World Championship. We also extend our special thanks and appreciation to the
local authorities and to the people from Las Gabias, Granada and Spain for
their great hospitality and support.
We are wishing all
athletes good luck and much success in fair competitions and extend our
greetings to all athletes, officials, all representatives of the media and
press as well as all spectators, who will certainly enjoy exciting performances
and have some beautiful days in Spain.
