The two competitions will both take place in Italy, as the Rifle/Pistol Final is set in Bologna and the Shotgun event is scheduled in the capital city of Rome.
The dates of the 2016 ISSF Rifle/Pistol and Shotgun World Cup Finals are now official.
The ISSF World Cup Final in Rifle and Pistol events will take place in Bologna, from October 4th to October 10th, while the following day will be the initial date of the ISSF World Cup Final Shotgun, held in Rome from the 11th through the 16th of October.
It won’t be the first time these two cities are touched by the ISSF calendar: Rome, in fact, hosted a stage of the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in 2005, while Bologna appeared in the World Cup schedule back in 1988 and 1990, once again for the Shotgun discipline.
Alongside Milan, Rome had also been the latest host of an ISSF World Cup Final on the Italian soil, in 2003, after Montecatini first brought the event to the country in 1996, 1997 and 1998, and Lonato hosted it in 2002.
The 2016 ISSF World Cup Series will kick-off in Bangkok (THA), for a Rifle/Pistol stage, then travelling to Nicosia (CYP) for the first Shotgun competition. Rio de Janeiro and Baku will host two combined stages, while Munich (GER) and San Marino (SMR) will welcome the two last stages of the season, respectively in Rifle/Pistol and in Shotgun events.
