2017 ISSF Target Sprint World Championship announced, 2017 ISSF World Cup Finals designated, 2018 ISSF Technical Delegates appointed. The meeting takes place two days before the 2016 ISSF General Assembly.

The ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña and the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber attended the ISSF Executive Committee meeting at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Moscow (RUS), today. 

The meeting took place two days before the 2016 ISSF General Assembly, to be held here in Moscow on the 1st and 2nd of July.

The ISSF Executive Committee designated the host of the 2017 ISSF Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun World Cup Finals, which will be held in New Delhi, India (dates to be confirmed), and designating the ISSF Technical Delegates for the 2018 ISSF Competitions (see table below).

The ISSF Executive Committee also approved further development steps for the ISSF Target Sprint, the “Sport for All” event which combines air rifle shooting and running.

The first ISSF Target Sprint World Championship will be organized in conjunction with the 2017 ISSF Rifle and Pistol Junior World Championship, to be held in Suhl, Germany, between the 22nd and the 30th September 2017.

During the meeting, the ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña awarded the “President Button” – the ISSF’s highest honor – to the Executive Committee members Kevin Kilty (IRL) and Raninder Singh (IND) in recognition of their hard work for and support to the International Shooting Sport Federation.
