Italy and the People’s Republic of China secured the highest number of total medals with 7 apiece. Italy, anyway, also claimed the top of the standings with 4 Golds and 3 Silvers, followed in 2nd place by Germany with 3 Gold medals and 1 Silver. The Chinese Shooting team placed in 3rd position with 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 4 Bronzes.
The Olympic Shooting schedule just concluded at the Olympic Shooting Centre in Deodoro, Rio de Janeiro, and Italy sealed the competitions with its incredible 4th Gold medal. An award that puts the Italian team on top of the final medal standings of the Shooting sport.

Alongside today’s title, won by Niccolò Campriani in the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event, Italy climbed to the highest step of the podium in the two Skeet events, with Diana Bacosi and Gabriele Rossetti, and one more with Campriani in the 10m Air Rifle Men event.
In 2nd position placed Germany, whose 3 Gold medals came in consecutive days with Barbara Engleder, Henri Junghaenel and Oliver Geis, while the only German Olympic Silver was awarded to women’s 25m Pistol shooter Monika Karsch.

Many records were sector equalled during the nine days of competitions in Rio de Janeiro.
The ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña were pretty satisfied as today's event sealed the Olympic Shooting program.
“We have witnessed the best shooting sport competitions in the history of the sport here in Rio de Janeiro, we would like to thank the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee, and all the volunteers who worked with us in these days,” he said. “The rule changes we adopted after London 2012 proved to be successful, improving the presentation of our sport.”
“The reactions of the spectators and the media coverage we recorded in these days were exceptional,” added the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber. “Sometimes changes are not easy, but the results pay off, and prove that we are going in the right direction.”
