The ISSF Academy released this year’s courses schedule

Locations, dates and deadlines of the four ISSF Academy Courses have been made official. They will be held in Kuortane (FIN) and Bar (MNE).
The Academy of the International Shooting Sport Federation released the schedule of its courses for the year 2017. Two of the courses will be held in Bar (MNE) and two more in Kuortane (FIN).

Here’s a chronologically-ordered calendar of the four courses with the corresponding information:

From October 4th to October 12th
ISSF Academy C21 Course in Bar (MNE)
Registration deadline: March 31st

The C-License Course is the first of the ISSF Training Academy’s international licenses and marks the first step to an internationally recognized coaching license. The Course has been designed to provide the coach with a wide understanding of the role of coaching and the skills required to work at a national and international level. The license is aimed at coaches who wish to work on the international shooting circuit and with national and international teams. Upon successful completion of this course, the coach is eligible to apply to attend a future B-License Course.

From October 12th to October 18th
IOC/ISSF National Training Systems Development Project in Bar (MNE)
Registration deadline: June 2nd

Olympic Solidarity in conjunction with the ISSF Academy presents a week-long Course for National Federations and their senior coaching and administrative staff to develop and implement a national coaching structure for the Olympic shooting sports.

From November 1st to November 9th
ISSF Academy B12 Course in Kuortane (FIN)
Registration deadline: March 31st

The B-License course is the second of the ISSF Academy’s international coaches licenses. The Course has been designed to provide the coach with a greater understanding of the role of the shooting coach as required at the level of the international ISSF World Cup circuit. In keeping with the structured approach to coaching adopted in the C-Course, the B-Course takes the next step forward in developing coaching technique for the specific disciplines but also an increased emphasis on Sport Science.

From December 7th to December 15th
ISSF Academy A5 Course in Kuortane (FIN)
Registration deadline: March 3rd

The A-Course for International Coaches License is the highest level Course operated by the ISSF Training Academy. The Course is aimed at coaches working internationally and at Olympic Games level and is designed to test the skills necessary for coaches to work at the highest level of Olympic competition. Coaches with A-License credentials are expected to reflect the highest in professional skills and the greatest commitment to their sport and their own development as professional coaches.

The participation to the A5 and B12 courses is by invitation only.

All the interested participants should get in contact with their National Federation; please make sure that the registration is sent within the deadlines.
