The ISSF President Olegario Vazquez Raña, accompanied by Technical Delegate Mr. Carlos Silva Monterroso, visited the Organizing Committee of the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the 3rd of May, after the closing of the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) Ordinary General Assembly in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Mr. Olegario Vazquez Raña and Mr. Carlos Silva Monterroso inspected the Techno Park, the cluster that will be hosting shooting competitions (among other sports) from the 7 through the 12 of October, 2018. There, the first medals of the III Youth Olympic Games will be awarded by the 10m Air Rifle Women event, following a long Olympic tradition.
Installations in the venue will include 50 SIUS Electronic Target, dedicated spaces for the finals, and large spectators’ areas. During the visit, Technical Delegate Silva Monterroso held a workshop with the Organizing Committee to supervise the plans of the shooting sport venue and to discuss activation activities and sport presentation guidelines.
The 2018 Youth Olympic Games will officially open in Buenos Aires on October 6, 2018.
