The 2012 ISSF Organizers Workshop was opened in Munich, where the event is taking place on the 23rd and 24th of November.
The Workshop, chaired by the ISSF Vice-President Gary Anderson, and introduced by the ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber, is at its 10th edition.
Seventy-four participants, including ISSF championship organizers of 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, met to share experiences, and to hear reports from ISSF authorities and expert in the various functional areas connected with the organization of a shooting competition.
“We are happy to welcome 70 participants from all over the world.” The ISSF Secretary General Franz Schreiber said.
“Experience tells us that these meetings have led to great improvements in our competitions. I am confident that we will be able to share our experiences, and that our Organizers will implement many of the ideas proposed at this workshop.” The ISSF Secretary General said.
“The ISSF is introducing quite an amount of changes, in 2013. We have new finals, and we will have to work hard to make this working.” The ISSF Vice-President Gary Anderson said.
“New Challenges means new opportunities. – Mr. Anderson said – We dedicated a large part of the Workshop to the new finals and to the new technical rules. But we also put the focus on spectators and shooting fans, as we want to improve the appealing of our sport among sport fans.”
