TWO GERMAN SHOOTERS CLIMBED UP THE 50M RIFLE PRONE MEN PODIUM

Junghaenel won the last event of the 2013 ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Final in Munich, winning in front of his home supporters. His teammate Brodmeier nailed the Bronze medal, while Silver went to the Slovenian Olympics Bronze medallist Rajmond Debevec.
Germany's Henri Junghaenel, 25, won the 50m Rifle Prone Men event, the last final of the 2013 ISSF World Cup Final in Munich.

The German athlete, shooting on his home turf, scored 211.3 points, winning the Wolrd Cup Final with 2.0 points of advantage on London's Olympics Bronze medallist Rajmond Debevec, 50, from Slovenia, who placed in second with 209.2 points.

Junghaenel had qualified to participate in this year's Final by winning two ISSF World Cup medals in Changwon (KOR) and Granada (ESP), earlier this year.

This World Cup title was the best way to close a successful seasons, which also witnessed Junghaenel winning a Silver medal at the European Championship podium in Osijek.

The German team celebrated also a second medal, today, as the 26-year old finalist Daniel Brodmeier secured the Bronze medal with 187.5 points. A medal that pushed Germany's up in the medal standings, reaching the third play in the overall table of the competition. 

Austria's Thomas Mathis, 23, followed the medallists placing in fourth with 166.3 points, while the reigning Olympic Champion Sergei Martynov closed the match in fifth place with a total score of 145.4 points.
