The ISSF World Cup is ready for its yearly stop in Munich

For the sixth consecutive season, and for the eleventh time in the last twelve years, the ISSF World Cup in Rifle/Pistol events lands in Munich (GER), where the International Shooting Sport Federation itself is headquartered.
Fourty-four years after the Games of the XX Olympiad, the Munich Olympic Shooting Range is still on duty, and it’s also about to host an ISSF World Cup stage in Rifle/Pistol events for the sixth consecutive season, and for the eleventh time in the last twelve years.

The Schießanlage, build for the 1972 Olympic Games and located in the Hochbrück area, will host the 2016 ISSF World Cup Series from the 19th to the 26th of May, welcoming 738 shooters coming from 88 countries and piling up 1.264 starts in the ten events of the two Olympic Shooting disciplines.

The ten final mathces are expected to take place starting on May 21st, and they will stick to the following schedule:

Saturday, May 21st:
10m Air Rifle Men at 1:30 PM (UTC+2)
10m Air Rifle Women at 5:00 PM

Sunday, May 22nd:
50m Pistol Men at 11:15 AM
25m Pistol Women at 1:30 PM

Monday, May 23rd:
50m Rifle Prone Men at 10:30 AM
25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men 4:00 PM

Tuesday, May 24th:
50m Rifle 3 Positions Women at 11:30 AM
10m Air Pistol Men at 1:15 PM

Wednesday, May 25th:
10m Air Pistol Women at 12:15 PM
50m Rifle 3 Positions Men at 1:30 PM

The Munich stage will be the third of the 2016 season dedicated to the ten Rifle/Pistol Olympic Shooting events, after the inaugural one held in Bangkok (THA) last March and the combined one that took place in Rio de Janeiro (BRA) in April. A fourth one is expected to take place in Baku (AZE) in June, while the ISSF World Cup Final in Rifle/Pistol is scheduled in Bologna (ITA) from October 4th to October 10th.
