The 2017 ISSF World Cup Series are about to close in Gabala

After stopping in New Delhi (IND), Acapulco (MEX), Larnaka (CYP) and Munich (GER), the yearly competition will live its fifth and conclusive stage in Gabala, from the 6th to the 14th of June.
More than 400 shooters are about to be welcomed at the Gabala Shooting Club in Gabala (AZE), where the fifth and final stage of the 2017 ISSF World Cup Series is scheduled to take place from June 6th to June 14th.

Previously, the yearly competition stopped in New Delhi (IND), Acapulco (MEX), Larnaka (CYP) and Munich (GER).

A total of 430 shooters will travel to Azerbaijan, representing 45 National Olympic Committees and piling up 770 starts in the ten Rifle/Pistol events, also trying to gain points and qualify for the ISSF World Cup Final, also scheduled in New Delhi in October.

The schedule of the final matches is the following:

Thursday, June 8th
10m Air Rifle Women at 12:45 pm (UTC+4:00)
10m Air Rifle Men at 4:15 pm

Friday, June 9th
50m Pistol Men at 11:00 am
25m Pistol Women at 1:00 pm

Saturday, June 10th
25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men at 1:30 pm

Sunday, June 11th
50m Rifle Prone Men at 10:15 am
10m Air Pistol Women at 11:45 am
10m Air Pistol Men at 4:15 pm

Tuesday, June 13th
50m Rifle 3 Positions Women at 11:15 am
50m Rifle 3 Positions Men at 3:00 pm

It will be the second ISSF World Cup stage hosted by the Gabala Shooting Club, after the one held in August 2015. During the previous seasons, then, the same venue hosted the ISSF World Cup Final in 2014 and the ISSF Junior World Cup in 2016.

The Shooting Sport season will continue this month with the ISSF Junior World Championship in Rifle/Pistol taking place in Suhl (GER) from the 22nd to the 29th of June, almost simultaneously, the German city will host the ISSF Target Sprint World Championship, scheduled from June 22nd to June 26th.

The ten final matches will be streamed live on the ISSF website, on the Federation’s Livestream channel and on its official Facebook page.
